Buttevant Panto Club and the Dorada School of Dance present Sleeping Not So Beauty in the GAA Hall on this Saturday night at 7:30pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated. All the proceeds from this year's Panto will go to Marymount Hospice, Cork.

Anti Cyber-bullying: Scoil Mhuire na Trócaire Buttevant (Primary School) will host an Anti Cyber-bullying Internet Safety Talk for all Parents at the School Hall on next Monday 3rd February from 7pm to 9pm. All Parents are encouraged to attend.

A Grave Issue! The Parish Finance Committee have increased the price of individual graves at Lisgriffin Church from €600 to €800. This is effective from February 1st of this year. The price of a similar County Council Grave is presently €1,000.

Vocations Afternoon: "Come and See". A Vocations Afternoon will take place at the Poor Clare Monastery, College Road, Cork on Saturday 22nd February from 2pm to 4pm 2020. It is for young women considering a vocation to Monastic Life. Email: [email protected] or visit www.poorclarescork.ie

Pre-Marriage Course Workshops: Dates for the coming year 2020 are posted on the notice boards at both churches or visit accord.ie.

St. Vincent de Paul Helpline: The Buttevant Conference of the SVDP has a dedicated mobile phone number whereby an application for assistance can be made in confidence. An application for assistance can be made by phoning 086/0209477.

Cloyne Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from Friday 29th May until Wednesday 3rd June 2020. Booking Forms are now available from Joe Walsh Tours 117 Patrick St., Cork 021/4277959. Details of the Special Sick/Assisted Section are available by contacting the Parish Secretary, 27/28 Bank Place, Mallow on 022/20276.

Feast of St. Blaise: Blessing of Throats will take place at the 10am Mass on Monday 3rd February.

St. Mary's Parish Church Choir: Our first practice for 2020 will take place on Monday 3rd February from 7:15pm to 8:15pm. We would love new members to join us in our Parish Sunday celebration. "When we sing we pray twice" - St. Augustine.

Communion Calls: Fr Eugene will visit the sick and housebound of the Parish with the sacraments on next Wednesday 5th February and on next Friday 7th February.

World Day of Prayer for the Sick will be celebrated on the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. In preparation for it Anointing of the Sick will take place during the 11:30am Mass on next Sunday 9th Feb. We encourage regular Mass goers to offer a lift to an elderly person so that they can avail of Holy Anointing. Refreshments will be served in the sacristy afterwards. Members of the Junior Pastoral Council will be on hand to give assistance.

Parish Financial Report: An overview of the Parish Finances will be shared at all Masses on the weekend of Feb. 15th & 16th.

Spring Station Masses will be celebrated during February and March 2020. If any Parishioner would like to host a Station Mass in your home, please approach any member of the Parish Pastoral Council or Fr. Eugene. Masses are already booked for the following Station Areas:

• 1. Bregoge, Tullig, Currymount and Dunbarry: Friday 7th February at 8pm at Sean and Marian Fitzpatrick.
• 2. Tenniscart, Pepperhill, Boherascrub and Knockbarry. Friday 6th March at 8pm at Gerry and Joan Ryan.
• 3. Knockanare, Lackaroe and Spital. Friday 13th March at 8pm at Andy and Juliette Murphy.
• 4. Ballybeg; (To be arranged.)

Mass Cards: A good selection of Mass Cards for various occasions are available in both sacristies.

Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated in the Parish Church on Tuesday 18th Feb. at 11am.
